The Pokemon Go Fest Yokohama 2019 starts on August 6 and Niantic has now decided to extend this celebration to players around the world. While this global audience is not able to participate in the annual Pikachu Outbreakchu event or take advantage of the increased turnout associated with The Pokemon Go Fest Yokohama, it will also get something special. Namely, trainers from around the world will be able to capture their own brilliant Poliwag between August 6 and 12.
During this celebration of Pokemon Go Fest Yokohama 2019, Poliwags around the world will have increased their reproductive rate. Similarly, the brilliant Poliwag, which has a light blue color, will be available to coaches for the very first time. This means that Shiny versions of Poliwag’s evolutions will also be available for the first time. These developments include Poliwhirl, Polywrath and Politoed.
The second part of the celebration of Pokemon Go Fest Yokohama 2019 is a set of new global challenges. Team Instinct, Team Valor and Team Mystic will each perform 25 million research tasks during the celebration. Rewards for each team will be 3,000 Stardust per raid, 3x Stchust and 1 hour Star Pieces, respectively. The awards will last from August 13 to August 20. If all teams take up their challenge, Suicune (and Shiny Suicune) will be available for raids on August 17.
Perhaps by chance, the celebration of Pokemon Go Fest Yokohama 2019 will now coincide with the Shiny Bonsly event and the Pokemon Go gifts. Between August 5th and 19th, all falling eggs will be 2 km eggs, but they will hatch into a 7 km Pokémon. These eggs will have a chance to burst in Shiny Bonsly, and Shiny Sudowoodo will also be available for the first time if players want to evolve their Shiny Bonsly. During the event, players can also keep and send more gifts per day.

The August community day of Pokemon Go is coming to an end and each coach’s bag is now filled with Ralts. As such, some fans have probably wondered what to expect in the coming weeks. Niantic strives to ensure that all Pokemon Go players have something exciting on the horizon. Not one, but two different events will take place at the same time: the Shiny Bonsly event, which starts on Monday, August 5, and the Shiny Poliwag and Challenge Team event on Tuesday, August 6.
