Lugia and Ho-Oh raids are coming back this weekend, Dec 14 – 17 2018!

Lugia raids and Ho-Oh raids are coming back during a special raid challenge weekend, starting this Friday (Dec 14) and lasting until Monday (Dec 17). Lugia and Ho-Oh are presumably coming back to save the day, as no one sane is raiding Cresselia anymore! Just kidding, but still… :o)

Date + Time

  • From Friday, Dec. 14, 2018, at 1 p.m. PST (GMT −8)
  • Until Monday, Dec. 17, 2018, at 1 p.m. PST (GMT −8)

  • Legendary Pokémon Lugia and Ho-Oh will be joining Raid Battles!
  • If you’re lucky, you may encounter a Shiny Lugia or Shiny Ho-Oh!

We know you’ll ask, so before you ask: we don’t have any information if Aeroblast and Sacred Firewill be released. Aeroblast is Lugia’s signature move and Sacred Fire is Ho-Oh’s signature move, and this would be the perfect opportunity to release them, but hey, we know as much as you do right now. We’ll reach out to our contacts to see if we can shovel some additional information about it.

We’re updating our raid guides as you’re reading this. Here are a few quick links:

Stay on your toes and don’t freeze to death this weekend. I know I wont, cause I’ll be raiding in a GO Hub Ugly Christmas sweater (what a shameless plug, yuck myself). Still, it’s a cool piece of merch:
